VCP Families - Thank you so much for the support of our teachers/team during Teacher Appreciation Week! Your gifts and kind words have been truly heart warming. There is still time to share your a note of thanks or a special treat with your favorite teacher, or you can participate in Friday's event: Friday Flowers! Paychecks should be reviewed and signed by a parent, and then returned first thing tomorrow during homeroom. Dress down passes will also go out today for the top 8 scholar-dollar earners in each homeroom for a job well-done this week!

You are cordially invited to attend our Black History Month Program tomorrow, Friday, February 23rd at 2pm! Scholars have prepared interactive presentations and performances for your viewing and learning pleasure. We are also excited to welcome various Divine 9 Organizations from LeMoyne Owen College to perform for our school community! We hope to see you there!

Good Evening 8th Grade Families! Our team is excited to host our high school placement workshop this Thursday, January 25th from 4:15-5pm. We encourage you to join us regardless of where you are on your next steps journey. Our workshop will cover topics such as the different high school options, the MSCS Optional Schools application process (which goes live next week), and other helpful resources and support. We hope to see you there!

Veritas Families - We are back!!! School will re-open tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23, as the building is prepped and ready for learning. Water fountains will be off, but there will be bottled water for scholars. We also recommend sending your scholar with a pre-filled water bottle for use throughout the day and at lunch. See everyone tomorrow morning when doors open at 7:45! Can't wait to get back to learning!

Due to the ongoing winter weather and the conditions caused by the boil water advisory, Veritas will be closed Monday, January 22. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate the status of Tuesday's classes as soon as possible.
